Vespula vulgaris

Wasps & hornets

A nest in the eaves or the ground goes from a nuisance to a hazard by August.

from £75 per nest same-day where we can
Book an inspection
Macro of a stinging insect on bark.

What to look for

  • A steady stream of insects in and out of one point in the roofline or a bank
  • A papery, grey nest visible in a loft, shed, or under the eaves
  • More activity on warm afternoons and around bins in late summer

How the barrier deals with it

  1. 01 Treatment at the entry so returning foragers carry it into the nest
  2. 02 The nest left in place to fail rather than cut out live, which scatters the colony
  3. 03 A safe-distance check the following day before the all-clear
